What PataBei is

PataBei is a free price comparison service. We show prices from stores' public websites, from price feeds stores send us, and from shelf prices reported by shoppers. We don't sell products ourselves. Any purchase is between you and the store.

Prices and accuracy

We check prices regularly, but prices, stock and promotions change often and can differ by branch, delivery area or channel. Naivas and Carrefour prices come from their Glovo Nairobi catalogues and exclude delivery fees. Each price shows when we last checked it. Always confirm the price with the store before you buy. We're not responsible for differences between our listings and the price you're charged.

We match the same product across stores automatically, and people review uncertain matches. Mistakes can still happen. If you spot one, please tell us.

Ranking and independence

Offers for a product are listed cheapest first. Search results are ranked by how well they match your search, then by how many stores sell the item, how popular it is, the saving available, and how complete the listing is. Stores can't pay to change their position. Links to stores may be marked as sponsored where a commercial arrangement exists.

Price alerts

Alerts are a free convenience. We send one message when the price we see reaches your target. Delivery isn't guaranteed, and the price may change again before you buy.

Shopper reports

Only report prices you've seen yourself. Don't submit false, misleading or abusive content. We review reports before publishing and may edit or reject any of them. By submitting a report, you let us publish and use that price information.

Acceptable use

Please don't disrupt the service, try to get around security, or copy large parts of the site or its data by automated means without our permission. Use the public API responsibly. We may limit or block abusive use.

Content and trademarks

Store names, logos and product images belong to their owners. They're shown to identify the store or product being compared, and don't imply endorsement. Stores can ask us to correct or remove their information.

Liability

PataBei is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from your use of the site or from relying on its information. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Kenyan consumer protection law.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
